Betsie's generous friend delivered a homemade sourdough loaf still warm and wrapped like an origami present into her eager hands. She unwrapped the Kraft paper in her still life shadow box, and the sourdough loaf revealed itself in all its glory, insisting Betsie paint it like the holy mana it is.
